Tree Care & Maintenance

New Plant Inspections

It can take a while for a large tree to become fully adjusted to its new home. Depending on the size of the tree, it’s not uncommon for to take up to 36 months to become fully established. During this period supplemental irrigation is extremely important, especially over the first 12 months. We offer one complementary arborist visit within the first year, with the install of every new tree. During this visit, our arborists can check the soil moisture and irrigation system to make sure each tree is receiving the perfect amount of water. Our arborists can also answer questions on pruning, fertilization, and disease and insect problems. Please contact our office to schedule this complimentary visit.

Deep Root Fertilization

In most cases trees grow very well in our Pacific Northwest climate. All new trees are installed with a layer of composted mulch over the planting area. This in time, will break down and provide nutrients for your new tree, which is more than enough nutrition for your new tree. In the case where more growth is desired, we offer a Deep Root Fertilization. This fertilization can speed up the establishment period and provide quicker and fuller growth. Our fertilizer is made from a custom blend which is injected directly into the root zone of each new tree. This will break down slowly over time and continue to provide essential nutrients to the tree for about a year. New growth results are usually double that of non fertilized trees.
